New version of Firefox doesn't match online instructions for sync or recognise my account!
My HTC One S died and has been repaired but I have had to re-install Firefox. I have a sync account set up, but when I try to enter the email and password for it on the 'phone Firefox doesn't recognise them and when I click on "forgotten password" it tells me that there is no account associated with that email address. Can anyone help?
I've tried going the other way and using add a device from my desk top, but I can't get to a point on the 'phone where I can either input the 3 sets of four characters or get the 'phone to display them :o(
All advice gratefully received :o)

Hi SimonOwen, It sounds like your desktop is on the old version of sync and the android device is on the new version of sync. Sync your Firefox bookmarks, history, passwords and more Try updating your desktop first, then it will be compatible. The account was not transferred automatically, so the depreciated Firefox sync account many not be an option on the phone anymore.
If you need help with the instructions, please do not hesitate to post back.

Outstanding - thank you so much for coming back to me; your I.T. 6th sense was right on the money!
I've updated the desk top and all three machines appear to be happily talking to each other.
Thanks again!
