This company, using the FF logo, sent me the notice that follows & attempted to get me to download an executable file. It seemed a bit phishy.

I had the same problem with the same company. It was supposedly an update of 'New Player' as if that's not phishy, plus it wouldn't allow me to close it. I even rebooted and it just came right back. It's like zombie malware and I can only imagine what would have happened if I had actually let it run. I couldn't even delete the files it put on my computer in the normal way but SuperAntiSpyware's 'Uninstall Unwanted Software' tool found it and got rid of it. I can't say enough good things about SuperAntiSpyware and would recommend it to anyone with a computer.
