I have successfully downloaded a new version of Java but the installation will not complete.
I get the red circle with the white X near the end of the installation.
Chosen solution
If you want to download on a newer computer, download the following (You have ALOT of out of data software)
Download these programs and transfer them onto a USB drive, take it to your computer, and install them
Firefox http://getfirefox.com/
Java: http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=73857
After doing this, run the installer I gave you above again, these programs are the biggest ones and it will skip them since they will now be up to date.

Please restart your PC, then use http://ninite.com/firefox-flash-java-reader/ninite.exe to update your software.
The preparation process took over two hours. I have dial-up so I aborted
the download of Java 7, when it looked like it would take too long. Is this process interruptable ? Can Java7 and the Reader be downloaded
on a faster computer, then transferred ?
