Firefox address bar does not show address for files on hard disk

Running FF 18.01, on a Mac OS 10.6. Just ran Norton LiveUpDate and installed FF Tool Bar. Now when I open an HTML file on my hard disk, the the FF address bar does not show my local address. The address bar reads Go to a Website. What is going on and how do I fix this? FF is now useless for doing any editing on HTML files. This forces me to use other browsers for editing.

Okay, just disabled the FF Tool Bar and now the browser works correctly again. Anybody have an idea here about how to use the FF Tool Bar without messing up the browser?
