Running 18.0 on XP. How do I point my SyncBack backup to my Firefox favorites instead of my IE favorites?
Question should be sufficient as is. I cannot find the favorites file or folder in Firefox. I need to name the location (path) of these favorites for my SyncBack to see them for backup. Currently, backup program is pointed to IE favorites which were successfully imported when I installed Firefox but are now quite outdated. Another option would be to sync the two favorites files which would be handy if Firefox crashes. Backing up favorites does not appear to be a topic discussed much in all the help info. I have been very happy with Firefox so far.

Firefox stores the bookmarks and the browser history in places.sqlite and no longer uses an HTML file or creates an HTML backup for the bookmarks.
There are 10 daily rotating JSON backups in the bookmarkbackups folder within the Firefox profile folder, one for each day that Firefox is started.

My original intent was to include my Firefox bookmarks in my existing backup program by pointing to the file. It doesn't appear that is possible. However, I had missed the import & backup button in the library. I directed the backup to a new folder on my external back-up drive & back-up was successful. Unfortunately, the .json file is only viewable in notepad which produces a run-together hodge-podge that is relatively useless. I am at least satisfied that I have an external drive back-up file that can be retrieved & read by Firefox in the event of any system failure. I do a lot of research on a variety of topics & my bookmarks are very important to me. THANK YOU SO MUCH for the help.
You can make Firefox create an automatic HTML backup (bookmarks.html) when you exit Firefox if you set the browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML pref to true on the about:config page.
That backup is created by default in the profile folder as bookmarks.html, but you can set the file name and path via the browser.bookmarks.file pref on the about:config page.
The browser.bookmarks.file pref doesn't exist by default and you need to create a new String pref with the name browser.bookmarks.file and set the value to the full path of the backup bookmarks file.
