i have FF 10.0 and cannot name/rename a new folder i create, i use windows xp professional and this is a recent problem

when i go to create a new folder in "bookmarks menu" the folder opens w/ editing bar, but within 2 seconds closes w/ New Folder tag and i am unable to go back in "show all bookmarks" and there is no "rename" option
