How to fix the SLOW speed & FREEZING of Firefox 5

Firefox 4 worked very well - I was so pleased!l But since downloading the update to Firefox 5, the browser loads sooo slowly and freezes often. I've re-downloaded, restarted, and have to "end program" often. Is there a fix?

OS: Windows XP Computer: Samsung Netbook N110

If no fix, can I download Firefox 4 again?
