graphics drivers

I've just updated my graphics card drivers, using the update driver facility in Windows 7. Windows downloaded and installed drivers and since then I've had trouble with Firefox 5.

The application has become really slow, sometimes the screen blacks out completely and it just doesn't respond like it used to.

I have Windows 7 Professional (64 bit) The graphics card is an nVidia Quadro FX 3400.

Using the proprietary drivers that Windows 7 installed all is fine, however I wanted to update the drivers so I could use the control panel that comes with the nVidia software, alas this has compounded problems.

I hasten to add that on a previous computer with different card, but with nVidia drivers I found Firefox 5 to be very slow to respond, however the previous version of FF v4 seemed work extremely well!
