Can't select file to upload

I upload .pdf documents to a Court site. The site gives me the normal dialog box for selecting the file I want to upload. I am now using FF 5.0. All of a sudden, when the dialog box opens, all the .pdf files are greyed out, so I can't select any of them. In fact, all files are greyed out. The only thing I can open are folders.
