When I have lots of tabs, there is no empty section of the Tab Strip on which to Control-click

To enable or disable the display of the personal bookmarks tab, one is instructed to "Control-click on an empty section of the Tab Strip". If I have lots of tabs, there is no empty section; well, I'm not able to find an empty section. So what does one do in this case?
