Why is Firefox cycling my computer speakers? Issue just started about the second day of use......no other programs are doing this.

When I open the browser you can hear a low volume high pitched hum, then a click and the cycle just keeps repeating until the browser is closed. First started when I checked email through Web Mail Notifier 2.7.6, tried disabling all add ons but no luck. Thought it was the cpu but opened IE8 and a bunch of other programs with no issues
