the google search lost accesss to its drop menu items when Firefox 4 was installed.

Once the new Firefox 4 was installed, the Google toolbar Search application stopped recognizing any item listed on its drop down menu when clicked. I now have to type the full desired site name to activate Google Search each time I use it. How can I reactivate Google Search bar to recognize and respond to items in its drop down listings?
