Hi, you need to download the latest 4.0 Beta 8 release of Firefox 4 at http://www.mozilla.com/en-GB/firefox/beta/. Not sure if that would be some kind of connection/network error but it's worth a try.
After you have updated to 4.0 beta 8 you should create a new profile exclusively for the 4.0 beta version and create a desktop shortcut with -P "profile" appended to the target to launch that profile.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
See:
- Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems
- Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems
In Firefox 4 Safe mode disables extensions and also disables plugins (Tools > Add-ons > Plugins) and disables hardware acceleration.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
I Was Having The Same Problem So I Updated It To The Beta 8 and That Still Didnt Work and I Update Everytime A New One Comes Out But It Still Doesnt Work
Beta 11 has been released, so update to that version.
Do a clean (re)install:
- Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop
- http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-beta.html
- Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
- Don't remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
- It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Create a new profile exclusively for the 4.0 beta version and create a desktop shortcut with -P "profile" appended to the target to launch that profile.
