zzxc: Firefox won't start
Last week I participated in a live chat with you regarding Firefox continuing to crash on my PC. Per your request, I have downloaded Windbg to debug the crash.
I'm confused on one of the steps. The directions from Mozilla say: To begin debugging, run WinDbg from the Start menu. (Start->All Programs->Debugging Tools for Windows->WinDbg) Next, open the "File" menu and choose "Open Executable...". In the file chooser window that appears, open the firefox.exe executable in your Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox).
Regarding opening the Executable, when I downloaded the nightly build from Mozilla, I saved the folder on my desktop. Is there an install process I need to run, or do I just point Windbg to that folder instead of C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox (which is my current version of the software, not the nightly build)?
I tried running a debug against the nightly build version, but I don't see a crash message coming up in the debugger.
Thanks.
