I've been trying to copy some instructions on my Android phone (Firefox version 117.0.1 and Android version 13) but the instructions here Just Don't Work for me. It doesn't matter how long I hold a tap, nothing happens. I should also add that my phone sometimes doesn't respond to regular taps, possibly because my finger prints are very worn down. (That probably has to do with my 74th birthday coming up this week.) What can I do, if anything?

Hi

Thank you for your question and many happy returns for later this week.

This does not sound like an issue with Firefox for Android but does your phone screen work for someone else? If not, you may need to consider a new device. If it does work for them, you may find an inexpensive touch screen pointer handy - looks a bit like a pen, but with a rubber end you can use to tap the screen with.

My phone is only a few months old and it works just fine except for that minor issue with registering taps. And, I can copy/paste in other apps, just not in Firefox.

I've just tried copy/paste from Firefox to a different app on my Nook tablet; it works just fine. Clearly, the issue is with my phone and Firefox, not me.
