Video Playback Hangs Up on Some News Sites

I am looking for a way to obtain un-interrupted video on some of the news sites I visit, e.g., www.wlwt.com.

When I use Firefox on news sites, videos frequently stop well before the video is finished. Such a video will not start again until I move the progress marker to a later point, and then I return to the point of stoppage. The video then will start from that point until some point later on at which I repeat the process (unless the video has finished :) . It appears the video host is waiting for some signal from my computer to send more bits, but the signal is never received (?). These stoppages do not occur when I use Chrome. Is there something I can do to obtain continuous video playback on Firefox?

Many thanks!!
