Log Out And Folder Language

I have installed Thunderbird to a laptop I have on longterm loan.

1. I can't find how to log out of the account. Even though I have removed the password, when I open TB all my emails are accessible. There is a pop up window asking for a password, but it can be closed, and all the emails remain accessible. I am not able to set up a different Windows user account because of protocols set up on the laptop. How can I log out when I've finished accessing TB?

2. I have set up my account using IMAP, and all my folders have imported correctly, except for the generic ones (drafts, trash, sent, etc). They are in Spanish. I live in Spain. Amongst the languages in the settings of TB, Spanish is not present. In my original GMX account interface and settings there is no Spanish in use. I have configured the language settings in TB, that I can see, to English, and restarted the laptop, but to no effect.

3. Please can someone explain how I write an email from ym GMX account (desktop and mobile) via pEp, using Thunderbird.

4. What role does Mailvelope play in all this? Is it correct that in order to have the correct encryption process, I need to use TB in conjunction with pEp and Mailvelope.

I have never used a MUA before. It seems to be complicated. I would rather use the interfaces of my original email accounts (GMX and Protonmail), as they are more user friendly than the poor design of TB .

Thanks.
