Mozilla VPN

I purchased Mozilla VPN but I have to install it afresh EVERY DAY. When I install VPN, a small popup window opens and announces VPN is on - or VPN is off, one or the other and from that point I can turn it on if it is off and things are fine for a few hours at which point the popup vanishes and I have to install VPN all over again to get it working. I am tempted to issue a VISA chargeback on my monthly fee and go to another provider for VPN, one that, I would hope, would be more reliable. VPN does me no good overall if it's shutting itself down all the time. I paid for a service that is vitally important to me and I'm not getting that service. I'm getting unreliable and therefore meaningless service. If I want to spend money on nothing I would much rather give it to a Will Work for Food guy or a bag lady. I need an easy fix for this issue or a new provider.

I just refreshed Firefox and suddenly the VPN icon that was promised when I bought VPN FINALLY appeared which at least allows me to access the popup without have to install VPN repeatedly. Now, we'll see if VPN stays ON 24/7 or if it keeps turning itself OFF.

No dice. Here we go again. Less than an hour after the icon appeared both it and my VPN window disappeared. I'm dumping this junk.

Hello,

We apologize for the inconvenience,

Try signing out of the Mozilla VPN (you can do this by going to the gear icon on the top right of the application, then scrolling down to "Sign out"), uninstalling it, re-downloading it, and reinstalling it. The sign out is an important part of the process due to deleting some files that otherwise don't get purged. This usually resolves these kinds of issues.

We offer 30-day money-back guarantee. If you decide that the VPN isn’t for you, let us know within 30 days and we’d be happy to issue you a refund. Note, this will also immediately cancel your subscription.

I hope this helps,

I am signed out of VPN automatically multiple times a day and I reinstall it over and over and over. Also, As for the gear icon at the top of the application window, WHAT GEAR ICON? Your instructions, while appreciated, have no relation to the reality of my experience. Please refund my money. These same complaints are all over the internet and Mozilla, nice in theory, isn't doing the job.

Hi there,

gaguilera was mentioning this icon that shows in the app when it is launched. (see attached image).

In any case, you can cancel by going to your Firefox accounts page https://accounts.firefox.com/settings, logging in, then clicking on manage subscription. From there you can cancel the subscription.

Otherwise you will need to contact the direct support channel in order to have an agent cancel the subscription for you. I am sending you a private message through here with the correct info.

A last note: The experience you noted is definitely bad and is not common or expected. From your notes it sounds like something computer side or setting specific on your system is conflicting with the Mozilla VPN app. The conflict is causing it to close prematurely or crash.

Sorry that our suggestions did not help to resolve the issue.

Regards,
