Problem viewing website video in fullscreen mode

Recently something changed with my Firefox for Android (Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit) and when watching a video in fullscreen and landscape orientation on a website (embedded in site i.e. not YouTube), the picture "crowds out" the progress and control bar that would normally appear at lower edge of screen after clicking once on the video. The progress and controls are still there, but too far "off screen" to access them in fullscreen mode. So my workarounds are to watch in normal web view with the controls or in fullscreen without controls. I tested the same activity in Chrome and it works fine, meaning I can watch the video in fullscreen and still access the progress/controls on demand by clicking on the video during playback. Please help! Thanks.
