Merging tags between devices

Hello,

I use Thunderbird for the same e-mail account on two different computers. Previously the tags were synchronised between the two computers. However, on one of the two computers the tags were modified and now they do not merge between the two. Is there anything I can do to restore the tags to their original parameters on the computer where they were previously changed and ensure that they do correctly merge?
