Firefox had always been my preferred browser and had never encountered any problem with it until the most recent update of the app as per above-subject. My first attempt to use the updated app caused a phone reboot and all subsequent retries led to the same phone reboot. And so I decided to remove and reinstall the app on my mobile phone in the hope that the problem gets resolved. However, when I tried to sync my Firefox account with the reinstalled app, it again just caused a reboot after an OCR on my desktop and prevented me from authorizing the sync initiated on my mobile phone. The same problem of the reinstalled app causing a reboot of the mobile phone persists to now every time I try to use the updated app for browsing. Prior to this, Firefox installed on this particular phone always worked as expected. At the moment, I need to resort to Google Chrome to be able to browse the web using this particular phone.

But the same updated app installed in my other phone (Cherry Mobile Android One G1) with an older Android version 7.1 works without any problem at all. And this has become my actual fallback for now when I need to use a browser on the go.
