Email import from emClient to TB not working

I have an email client that does weird things so I thought I'd try Thunderbird. eM Client doesn't play nice with exporting and TB can't import directly so I looked for add-ons (which TB doesn't tell you about, you have to go looking for answers). None of the import tools work because 78.1.1 is too new. So I installed 68.1.1 figuring I could do the import, then update. I installed Import Export NG but I still have the same problem - 'No application to import data from found'. I tried exporting from eM but TB doesn't offer any import options other than directly from another client. Import Export NG is in the extensions list but I can't do anything with it directly except change settings. All of my current email is IMAP but I have a history of personally important POP emails going back many years that I don't want to lose.
