Why am I seeing a 500 error when I tap "Get Started" after opening Firefox Lockwise?

I just installed the Android app on a Google Pixel 3a. I open the app and there is a "Getting Started" button. I tap this button and then I go to a screen with "Get Started" across the top. A spinner spins for a moment, and then I get a "500 Error" and nothing else displays.
