I have -- in the past -- reinstalled Thunderbird on a new computer. I then copied the profile data from the old system to the new one. On my Windows 7 system, the Thunderbird folder is in Roaming. On the Windows 10 system, the Thunderbird folder is in Local. I copied both the the Profiles folder and the profiles.ini file to the Thunderbird folder in Local. Always worked, but not now. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Chosen solution

Copy the Thunderbird folder from the old computer to the new one with W10 in this location: C:\Users\<winusername>\AppData\Roaming

There is no need to copy anything into the ..\AppData\Local folder.

Thanks. Simple matter in just not paying attention to where the newly installed Thunderbird "tells" you to copy the Profiles info. But the Web page linked to does not work with this latest version of Thunderbird.

Can you explain which parts of the article don't work with TB 68?
