lost menu for thunderbird e.mails ( i.e : received e.mails send ..delete etc page comes up but is immediatly changed to already received messages but no menu

I must have pressed something ...previously all ok … the correct page flashes up ,but then in a second another page showing received e.mails covers it ,, but no menu , with which to proceed Thanks

Press Alt or F10 to restore the main menu bar in case it is hidden.
