Firefox remote has no control over TV

nOTHING ON THE REMOTE DOES ANYTHING TO THE HOME PAGE OF FIREFOX. BATTERIES HAVE BEEN CHANGED AND FIREFOX HAS BEEN UNPLUGGED FROM TV AND PLUGGED BACK IN WITH NO RESULT.

Thanks for your help - My husband changed the batteries again to batteries that were still packaged and viola! everything worked.
