Prior to yesterday (11/5/18), all emails identified as junk were automatically moved to the junk folder. This has stopped. Anyone know why?

For more than a year now, as emails arrived they were categorized as junk (as appropriate) and were automatically sent to the junk mail folder with no input from me. That stopped just two days ago, for no apparent reason. Now all emails identified as junk remain in my inbox and I have to manually move them to the junk folder. I have checked my junk mail settings and they are the same as they have always been. Any suggestions? Thanks
