Firefox UI freezes after fast user switching on Mac

I have two user accounts on my Mac: Alice and Bob. I frequently switch between those two accounts using fast user switching.

I have Firefox running under Alice's account. Very often (probably, all the time) after I switch from Bob to Alice I find the Firefox window stops responding. This includes the currently opened webpage, tabs and the toolbar.

I also noticed that the application itself keeps running, it's just the UI that is frozen. The window is redrawn if I switch to another app and then back to Firefox. For example:

1. Firefox is frozen after fast user switching 2. I press Cmd+T (Open New Tab) 3. I don't see new tab opened 4. Switch to another app and then back to Firefox 5. See the new tab opened, however the Firefox window still doesn't respond

I also noticed that using fast user switching again (go back to Bob, then back to Alice) unblocks Firefox window. Restarting the app also helps.

I use Firefox 63.0b14. I remember this happening on previous betas and the current stable version as well.

I run MacOS 10.14, I had the same problem on 10.13.
