when I edit an event error message comes up indicating changes were not sent to invitees

I actually have 2 issues

1- When I try to edit a calendar invite that I sent to others- after I make my changes, I hit save & close and then send. I get an error message that modifications were not sent

2- last week I created and sent out 2 calendar invites. 2 days later, one of the invites were missing from the calendar. I had to resend the invite again.
