Prior to installing Firefox for Fire TV I used Amazon's YouTube app. Exiting was relatively simple using my TV's remote. Press the exit button and after next pressing the OK button once the exit confirmation appeared the app would close. Conversely, attempting to exit the YouTube app bundled with Firefox for Fire TV, which appears to be almost identical to the stand alone Amazon Fire TV YouTube app, by pressing my remotes exit button does nothing. Unable to find a working exit option within the app, my last resort was to force the app to stop via Fire TV's Settings > Apps > Firefox for Fire TV > Force Stop. This works, but is undesirable for obvious reasons.

We do not use the Fire TV remote and instead exclusively use our TV remotes for more universal options and less remote juggling. This has worked flawlessly for every other app we have used on Fire TV. The standard exit button is pretty universal and I am surprised pressing it does not at minimum initiate exit from the Firefox for Fire TV YouTube app, as it did for the the stand alone Amazon Fire TV YouTube app, especially considering both YouTube apps have such strikingly similar user interfaces.

I hope I am missing something, like an exit icon/link within the app, but if I am not it would be nice if mozilla would either add one, as most apps have, and/or enable a universal exit option that allows use of the exit button found on most remotes as other apps do.

To exit youtube press the menu button on the remote. That brings up a blue side bar - select Home on the menu. To exit firefox, press return on the remote while at the home screen
