Hello,

When testing my new website on mobile devices (Samsung Galaxy note and Samsung S5 mini) something odd happens when i use Firefox (v 54). After selecting a category in the menu, after appr. 11 secs the displayed contents of the category dissapear. Reclicking the menu button makes things reappear. (test case www.jeroenstarrenburg.com , click logo in the red banner, select photo / chronological / 2016) I tried different networks.

When using the show desktop mode in Firefox (on the mobile devices), the problem does not occur. I have reinstalled Firefox (v 54.0.1) the problem still persists. Furthermore I have tested with other browsers on the devices (chrome, opera and the standard browser on tablet) and the dissapearing problem does not occur. Also tested on an ASUS tablet (android). The problem occurs. Finally tested on a iphone with mozilla: the problem does not occur.

Hopefully anyone has an idea what could be wrong

Thanks in advance for your help

Kind regards

Jeroen

This is so strange. I suspect there's something running on a timer that toggles the visibility of the images, but when I start searching script files for setTimeout() I see numerous references, so it's not something I can find quickly.

When I view the page on desktop, the Inspector shows an empty style="" attribution on the image-cat-container div, which suggests it had some rules applied to it temporarily and then removed. However, again, too complicated for me to figure out.

Do you have vendor support for this combination of libraries/plugins?

Hi jscher2000,

Thank you so much for taking the time to look into my issue!

Unfortunately I do no longer have vender support for this (creative) collection of libraries/plugins. The builder and I recently parted ways after two and half years built time had passed and no fully functioning website was delivered. I took it upon my self to try and finish it. A lot involved testing the array of files and libraries as to their usage (the cleanup is still in progress).

That being said I checked the header file which js files were being adressed. I cleaned up the collection of non used js files and there are 4 js files remaining, each containing one of more setTimeout() references. I have tried disabling them one at time to see if this would solve the 'disappearing issue'. Unfortunately it did not.

Inspecting the php files there are several empty sytle="" attributions on divs. I do not know if this is a problem?

If it were/is a toggling visibilty issue, isn't it strange that the dissapearing does not happen while using chrome or opera for example? (handles each browser timeout differently?)

Thanks and kind regards

Jeroen
