Black overlay after scrolling

Using Firefox on Android 7.

It worked fine for months, but recently when I open a new page and scroll, a black overlay pops up. The edges bend when the bottom of the page is reached, and I can see the webpage behind the black screen. The address bar and options are all visible. When I open the tab list and select the tab, the black overlay disappears until I touch an element on the page again.

I've tried the methods of uninstalling and clearing cache.

Any advice?
