How to open external link in current profile?

Hi

I'm working with Firefox profiles. When I'm trying to open a link when using a profile, I get the next error: Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system. I know Firefox is already running! I want it to open the link in the current profile.
