Saved Thunderbird emails from old account in .wdseml do not open when I click on the file in its folder

I have saved emails from an old email account saved in .wdseml as Thunderbird Document. When I go to these files via the folder or search function, they do no open when I click them. Nor do they open when I click "Open With" > Mozilla Thunderbird.

For example the file "048442.84942.YahooMailNeo%40web122204.mail.ne1.yahoo.com.wdseml" located in folder "***pop.bizmail.yahoo.com>inbox.sbd>File.mozmsgs" does not open when I go to that folder and click on that file.

I can open it via Thunderbird, however it is cumbersome and requires me to write down or memorize 048442.84942 so that I don't confuse it with 048442.84924 and open the wrong email.

I'm sure there is a way to do this, but I cannot find out how. Would you please help? Thanks!
