Giant padlock inside DoNotEnter sign. Can't connect to wifi (Android 5.1)
Running Firefox 37.0.2 in Android 5.1 on a Google Nexus 5 phone.
When I attempt to log into my school's WiFi network, Firefox briefly shows the redirect webpage and then displays a large padlock inside a "Do Not Enter" sign. On all other devices I see the login screen.
If I use the Chrome browser to attempt the login, Chrome complains about the certificates and warns me that I may not actually be connecting to my school's WiFi. Well, this is a known issue for a couple of years. Chrome will, however, let me connect if I click the appropriate buttons on screen whereas Firefox does not show anything except that damn padlock.
Connecting to this WiFi network on a PC or Mac running Firefox will present the "bad certificates" page but I can override it (permanently, if I wish).
How do I tell Firefox on my Android phone to let me connect? I hate running Chrome.
Thanks, Barry
