Firefox gives you even more control over your privacy. The new version of Firefox comes with a Forget button, which wipes out your recent browsing history without affecting the rest of your information.

Here's how to do it in just a few clicks:

  1. First, add the Forget button to your toolbar. You'll only need to do this step once!
    • Click the menu button The image "new fx menu" does not exist..
    • Click +Customize at the bottom of the menu panel.
    • Drag the Forget button forget button gray from the Additional Tools and Features panel to your toolbar, then click Exit Customize.
  2. When you're ready to clear your recent history, click the Forget button forget button gray on your toolbar.
  3. Choose a time frame that you'd like to forget (five minutes, two hours or 24 hours) and click the red Forget button.

  4. Firefox will clear history and cookies from the specified time frame, close your open tabs and relaunch a new, clean window.
Firefox has another privacy feature that lets you clear more of your information, including passwords and site preferences.
