Update changed my homepage on Firefox so I have no favorite icons!!! Until yesterday there were several icons onmy Firefox homepage (Amazon, email, Facebook, and others) so that I could just click on one and get where I wanted to go - quickly - now you have changed everything! Please restore my Firefox homepage as it was 48 hours ago!

There are a lot of news sources on the home page which require registration or have a political bent that I do not want to see. How do I remove a source such as CNN or The Guardian from displaying. I do not want to see their content ever.

Pretty simple. Every time I click any "news" link on my home page in Firefox it always runs into a pay wall. This is crap as these losers get a hit count to their site, get to load ads (for some people), and so on but I don't get to read the article. And who know s what kinda crap they are dumping into my cache. This needs to be fixed or the "feature" removed. This is basic privacy shit not included in a browser that tries to brag about privacy features.....

Trying to read the news articles, find something interesting, only for it to be sub-walled or pay-walled.... Been reporting them for over a year, nothing seems to change. I'd imagine a simple script would be able to open these links one at a time and detect a pay/sub-wall immediately and 86 it from the line-up..... You'd think.... But I also think it's safe for us to assume the reason they don't bother fixing this consistent, widely-encountered issue, is because they acquire coinage for unique hits on those pages. It's disappointing AF, because we all know they could fix it with EASE. That is all.

When opening a new page in Firefox I am shown a few widgets.

It shows the time of sports events and different timezones. But it shows this in a non-local time format - the 12 hour format (so it says 06:00 PM instead of 18:00).

In about:config I found a setting called "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.widgets.clocks.hourFormat" but what are the acceptable formats to use here? It's not a boolean value, and by default nothing is there. I tried writing 24, HH:mm, and some other things, but didn't notice a difference.

Summary When typing a multi-word search query in Bulgarian into the center search field on the Firefox New Tab page (about:newtab), the first word disappears immediately after pressing the Space key. The issue occurs only in the in-page search field. Typing exactly the same text in the Firefox address bar works correctly. Steps to reproduce

   1. Open a new tab (about:newtab).
   2. Click inside the center search field.
   3. Switch to the Bulgarian keyboard layout.
   4. Type the first word, for example:   български
   5. Press the Space key.

Actual result The first word disappears completely. The search field becomes empty and the caret remains after one blank space. Typing continues normally from the second word onward. Interestingly, pressing Ctrl+Z immediately restores the missing first word, indicating that Firefox performs an undoable edit operation rather than simply ignoring the input. Expected result The first word should remain in the search field after pressing Space. Additional observations

   • The problem does not occur when typing in the Firefox address bar.
   • The problem does not occur on google.com or in other web page input fields.
   • The problem is reproducible in:
       ◦ Troubleshoot Mode
       ◦ a brand new Firefox profile
   • No third-party extensions are installed (only the built-in OpenH264 codec is present).
   • Setting

browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.showSearch = false removes the in-page search field, therefore the issue disappears because the affected widget is no longer present.

   • Disabling

browser.search.suggest.enabled does not change the behaviour.

   • If the address bar already contains text before clicking into the New Tab search field, the issue may no longer reproduce. This suggests that the bug could be related to focus handling or interaction between the New Tab search widget and the address bar.

Reproducibility Always reproducible on this system. You can block types of contact you follow on the tab content page but you cannot block specific sources of that content. For example, I don't want to see any content from NBC, so how can I block that source?

I just downloaded v153.0.4 and now there are no wallpapers on my New Tabs or Home Page. No custom url for new tabs either and the Firefox Home is a blank page.

Hello. When I open a new tab page, all 6 panels below keep scrolling right like their not loading correctly. I have tried everything to make this go away since it is very distracting. Any ideas of how to fix?

On my Firefox Home Page, I selected two rows of PINNED shortcuts. Each time I open a webpage that webpage is added not only to the two selected rows of shortcuts, but "keeps" EVERY webpage selected after filling the two selected shortcut rows. It is not only annoying and inconvenient, but s l o w s work time to a crawl around these shortcuts ... few, if any, are helpful. If I want to re-entry an UNPINNED shortcuts, I go to history and select the one I want. WHEN is Fire Fox to solve this seemingly simple but annoying problem?

I appreciate that my browser is blocking trackers. I even have two additional extensions to boost the power of this. But I don't want the announcement every time I load up my browser. How do I turn this off? I'm using Firefox 153.0.3 (Build #2016176519), on a Google Pixel 7 running Android 16, kernel 6.1.145-android14-11-gfa1d6308d1fe-ab14691759 #1 Fri Jan 9 16:33:46 UTC 2026.

After reinstalling Firefox due to it being slow, no matter what settings, Firefox always opens and focuses on a new unwanted tab. But only if there are no extra tabs open except for my 5 pinned ones.

This behaviour started before I installed any Extensions.

How can I stop this?
