Windows 10 PC bookmarks have disappeared. Followed instructions to other profiles where momentarily saw bookmarks in a different profile, but couldn't find instructions on how to copy into default profile. Then bookmarks disappeared from that profile also. I do NOT want to sync to my other device; it has its own bookmarks. How can I retrieve my bookmarks other than syncing?!! Seems like a lot of other folks have the same problem.

As of a few days ago whenever I start Firefox the window appears with the Bookmarks sidebar panel already opened. I click the "X" on the sidebar and it will close - until the next time I start Firefox. If I choose Menu->View->Sidebar->Bookmarks and uncheck it the panel will close - until the next time I start Firefox. No matter how the Bookmarks sidebar is closed, it will always reappear when Firefox is restarted. Even if I switch to some other sidebar, Bookmarks will replace it on startup.

I've searched about:config and found no setting which seems to control sidebar behavior on startup.

I assume this is the result of some recent update. Is there no longer a way to permanently disable the Bookmarks sidebar?

Que se puede hacer para recuperar esta información?

I'm setting up a user on a new computer. I've exported her bookmarks from her old computer. On the new computer I go to Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > (select bookmarks toolbar) > Import and Backup > Import bookmarks from HTML. I browse to my folder containing the bookmarks.html file, Open it, and nothing.

I've tried all the suggestions I can find. Places Database Verify Integrity gives me: > Task: checkIntegrity + The places.sqlite database is sane + The favicons.sqlite database is sane > Task: checkCoherence + The database is coherent etc. Opening the bookmarks.html file shows a list of bookmarks. That file is not empty.

This shouldn't be this hard. How do I accomplish this?

Everytime I load Firefox the bookmarks sidebar is not shown.

Navigating thus View => Sidebar => Bookmarks I can bring it up. It will stay visible for the whole of my browser session. However, after I've closed this session and started another. the bookmark sidebar is missing again.

How can I make the bookmarks sidr be available all the time?

FF 127.0.2 OS Windows 11 Pro v 24H2 Build(26100.994).

This used to work fine. I don't want to mess with userChrome.css to get it to work. It should just work like it used to.

Hi, Why do we have double spaced bookmarks forced on us ?. It is an unnecessary nuisance having to now scroll down, with absolutely no advantage. Why o why is it that when the 'developers' ? are let loose the result is always less user friendly. I have only opened an account to let mozilla know that despite being with them for ever, unless you can tell me a simple and permanent fix, i will be changing to another browser. Whenever I use the searchbar in the bookmarks manager, it always searches all of my bookmarks, but sometimes I might only want to search for that query within a specific folder. Is there any way to limit a bookmarks search to only a specific folder rather than the entirety of my bookmarks?

Citibank cannot access the online account changed pass word and it keeps asking me for the new password.

Citibank says Firefox has to be restored?

I have logged into a new device with Firefox account and am not certain where the bookmarks have been pulled from as they do not match those on my previous device where the account was set to sync.

This is a moan more than a question. About every six months or so my bookmark sidebar disappears because i have clicked Control and B without meaning to. And that is how to get it back again. Except, I never remember and search all over the page (View, Options etc) without finding how to get it back. So I eventually do a search for how to recover it and find all the archived guides from when other people had the same problem and the same question and ther same frustration. So my moan/quesion is this: why the blankety blank, doesn't Firefox add something into the menu (View or Options or somewhere) that says "Show toolbar permanently". Would save all this frsutration and irritation. The impression I get is that Mozilla thinks we should not want to have the menu on screen all the time. But that is the problem with users! We have our own way of doing things! Please!

Hi, I am trying to save my most important Bookmarks as Shortcuts in Firefox Homepage, but Firefox is not showing the icons of the shortcuts, instead it is showing as Letters of the site. Please refer the image that I have attached. Incase if the image in the attachment fails, use this link Do note that the icons in bookmarks bar are showing fine, but the problem is only in Homepage shortcuts. I own a mac and had to erase all my data from my computer in order to upgrade to new system. Issue is - the apple support person did not remind me to save down my firefox browser data/bookmarks. Now my mac is updated and it's like a brand new computer. I searched previous forums and apparently firefox automatically saves down your data but I don't see it in the appropriate folder (Old Firefox Data >bookmarkbackups) - I see data from 2016 and 2017. Can I recover these bookmarks?? I had a lot of important ones saved..

Windows auto-updated and my bookmark toolbar disappeared

I still see all of my bookmarks in the "Bookmarks" list, but none of them appear across the top of my screen, where they usually are and I can't put them back.

When I want to drag and drop a tab into a folder of the bookmark toolbars, I can't do it for some folders.

Specifically, it doesn't work for folders that are somewhat in the area of the tab preview animation that pops up when I start dragging the tab. So that is not the same folders every time, it depends on the tab location in the tab bar.

I'm in troubleshooting mode. Firefox 100, just updated, but bug was there before. Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

I have tried all of the suggestions and cannot find any backup files other then current dates. Now I am without my bookmarks clear back to 5/7/2022???? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
