I got an email with a dozen or so mp3 files attached and wanted to download them in one go onto my android phone. I chose "download complete message " thinking that would work. But no. The files don't appear in the downloads folder so I'm going to download each one separately. But I'd still like to find where the "complete message" was saved so I can delete it. Regards, Ian

There's no feature in the app that deletes only downloaded attachments from the secure storage on a per email basis. I don't know if deleting the email itself does this.

If freeing up the storage space is key, you could clear Thunderbird's cache from Androids settings. This would clear downloaded attachments and images associated with ALL emails, but not the emails themselves, assuming an imap connection.

Clicking the "download complete message" button on an email will retrieve it's attachments again. Same for "Show remote images".

Hope that helps.

Hi Ian

The email messages are stored in the secure area of your phone's storage and not accessible unless you have a rooted phone.

Thanks for that. Does that mean there's no way to delete the saved files either? Not even through the app? 🤔
