can only open emails by right clicking and opening in new window. Also keeps asking for password
I can only open my emails by right clicking it and opening in new window. Also keeps asking for password every time I go on Thunderbird. Have tried solutions on the help pages and online for both problems but not much use. Some things on account settings and security are not there to select. Is it correct that if I uninstall Thunderbird and then reinstall it the same problems will be present?

Don't you have activated the Message Pane? (see picture) Does the same problem persist if you start Thunderbird in "troubleshoot mode"? https://mzl.la/3AbU5jz
I have no headings at all on usual inbox now, if open email in new window after right clicking email there is not the list on view that you show so have no layout option with message pane listed. am at a loss as what to do.
I have no idea which "View" you are using in your Thunderbird main window. Don't you see a menu bar with File, Edit, View, Go, Message, Tools, Help, ... at the top of the Thunderbird main window? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-customize-toolbars You could help us by showing a screen shot your TB main window.
