Is there a way of turning off the "start on homepage"? It claims it will only happen after a hour or so but it's almost every time. Surely there must be an option to turn this very annoying feature off.

Just to add to my post above. This annoying feature is since the most recent update and the "start on homepage" happens every time regardless of time since closing the app.

There are already people mentioning (complaining about) it on the feedback forum; Check it out :) https://mozilla.crowdicity.com/post/738125

That does work on a iPhone.

This doesn’t work on my iPhone. There’s no “About Firefox” anywhere.

Shane, tap on the FIREFOX DAYLIGHT five times and then follow the instructions; Go to Settings > About Firefox > Tap 5 Times > Debug: Toggle Start at Home: ON
