tooltips are not showing
I recently had to restore my computer to factory setting and Firefox was one of the first things I reinstalled when I was done. Everything seems to be working except that when I put my cursor over a tab or an extension button instead of a tool tip it just shows and empty box. It's always showed a tool tip so I don't know why it started doing this now.

Try running Firefox in Safe Mode and see if the problem persists.
Try changing your Windows theme back to default if you've customized it. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1235116
