Whenever i type anything in the search/address bar at the top, firefox tries to automaticly complete it. This often leads me to some webpage i didnt want to visit instead of doing a google search. How do i disable this automatic completion of my typing?

It sounds like you are probably looking for the Autocomplete URLs option that can be found in the Search section of the Firefox settings.
