when i try and import vcf contacts into Thunderbird, it only brings in the persons name and email and no phone numbers. The vcf file has all the info in it

With TB 68, it's probably best to use CardBook to import complete vcf files, as the built-in TB function is limited to vCard v. 2.

Thanks for that. I installed and imported my VCF file. It still didn't bring in phone numbers. I have turned all the fields with phone on but it doesn't show them.

I'm surprised the numbers don't import with CardBook, unless the format of your vcf is unusual. In TB 60, it was possible to do this: https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/1246281
