I have received an email from Firefox Accounts with the Subject: Confirm new sign-in to Firefox Account but when I click on the confirm sign-in link i then get .....

"This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your System Administrator."

I am logged on to my PC with the "Elevated Administrator Account" (was hidden) which I have enabled. Please note this is a brand new DIY build Desktop PC.

This is a problem with Outlook and the default browser on Windows and some Windows Registry keys are missing or corrupted. Easiest is to copy the link to the clipboard and paste the link in the Firefox location/address bar.

Separate issue as may want to do this before Win10 ruins your install/build : https://www.howtogeek.com/302595/how-to-stop-windows-10-from-automatically-updating-hardware-drivers/

I see that you had Kaspersky extension installed but is now disabled. What are you now using as : There is security software like Avast, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate which could be the issue.

Or you are not allowing enough cookies to get through so please review your settings.

If you are making a Sync account please do always :

Also Sync is for Syncing 2 or more devices and is not a backup service and will end up loosing stuff.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Thanks to Pkshadow for the separate issue fix before Win10 ruins your install/build. I have only just changed my logon to the "Elevated Administrator" account and haven't got round to re-enabling KIS yet.

Many thanks to cor-el for providing a solution to my problem. I dislike MS Edge and installed Moz. Firefox and set it as my default browser.

Thank you for providing the links.
