Options tab won't go away after I choose my settings!!!!
I had to change some options, it opens in a different tab. But it doesn't have an apply button or something, so every time I lunch my browser, I get the home tab and the Option tab. I guess this is silly, but It's really freacking me out. Thanks!!!

Hi, when you've made changes, all you need to do to save them, is to close the tab in the usual way by clicking on the 'x'.

Hi, thanks for the reply! The thing is that there is not Apply - Save Button. And I close the tab, but every time I launch the browser, the Option button is still there...
Please see How to set the home page and make sure that 'When Firefox starts' isn't set to 'Show my windows and tabs from last time.'
You do not need an Apply or Save button, since closing the tab saves your settings automatically.
When you change any Firefox option (not add-on options), the change it recorded then and there. Some few options require a re-start.
You can check the home page setting to see if the about:preferences page is appended.

The about:preferences page doesn't have an OK button to confirm changes and all changes are applied immediately. Additional pop-up windows like for cookies and passwords have an OK button to close the window. You can always use Ctrl+W to close a window if you do not see a close button.
You can resize various pop-up windows like you get for cookies and passwords if you place the mouse pointer in the bottom right corner. To be able to fully expand this window you can temporarily switch to Full Screen mode (F11) and drag the border to make the window as large as possible. Look for a close X in the top right corner or use Ctrl+W if the close or confirm button is missing.
One possible reason for this is if the Options page was added as a second "home tab" in which case it will show up in every new window (Ctrl+n) and anytime you click the Home button.
To check on that, you can switch over to the Options page, and select General in the left column. Toward the top of the page, in the Startup section, check the Home Page field:
Look for a vertical bar character separating two addresses. As a simple example with short URLs:
https://www.mozilla.org/|about:preferences
The bar definitely can be hard to spot with long URLs, but when you find it, delete everything to the right of the bar and then the bar itself (I suggest deleting the bar last so things don't accidentally get mushed together).
