I am still having problems with the java and java script. I can't open ebay and others web base browsers or anything that have an image. What is the best update for java and java script I have downloaded an java 8 update and I still have the same issue.
Javascript does not need to be updated, the website provides the version, however since there is still an issue downloading java please make sure that there are no firefwalls, or antiviruses that are not blocking the update.

Download the full installer.
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html and save it.
Uninstall the current version, reboot the computer, Then run the installer.
