Can someone help me understand my crash report? Alternatively how to save mails and calendar entries, de-install, re-install and copy back mails and calendar.
Here the report - thank you - some lines could be interpreted as if it crashed while it was checking for emails? Alternatively: Maybe when transferring the emails and calendar entries from my old laptop to my new one too much was copied because in the calendar section the "categories" are in the old laptop's language. Is there a manual how to do this right? Then I could save my mails and calendar entries on a stick, de-install and re-install Thunderbird and copy those files to somewhere in the thunderbird file structure. Thanks.

Absolutely, however can you submit them at about:support and copy the report id with the bp- at the front. The signature and stacktrace give the most info. It also correlates with a bug if there has been one filed already.
Thank you.
I sent the report every time it crashes via the automatic popup since several months. Is that what you mean? Or where do I find "about support". I found only branches where i can't write to and the community support. thanks.
Helen50, Not a problem. Please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.
- Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
- Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste that into the "Post a Reply" box. (Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the ID's. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like)
Thank you for your help!
More information and further troubleshooting steps can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.
Hi there, below I copied everything - why? Strangely the last ones are not in the overview, hardly any starting with bp although I submitted one yesterday and 2 or 3 two days before etc. I hope it helps finding out what's wrong. In my initial question is the copy of the latest one as text. The issue here is that your being told to post Firefox crashes when the program that is crashing is Thunderbird. A great way to be confused.
In Thunderbird Help menu (alt+H) > troubleshooting information scroll down to the crashes bit and copy and past what is there.

what can I say.
Your crash is one of the most common in Thunderbird. The developers have a patch in the works. If you have that sort of Technical bent here is a link to the bug report. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=902158
Please post again when I get my answer about a test version with the fix. If they have one you could try it and see if it actually fixes your problem.
Hi Matt, thanks for the investigation. Is it dependent on the laptop? I had Acer before (also Windows 7) and no problems. It had a different system language but it would be funny if it worked better in a different language than English. The bug report is a bit cryptic to me. You say "please post again when I get my answer about a test version with the fix". How do I know when you get the answer? :-) I would love to try. Meanwhile I found out that the profile was copied from the old laptop in the right way. There is probably no use in de-installing and installing. I assume the bug is profile-independent? I found 2 plug-ins that it says are "unknown". Would it help to delete them? What does the bug report actually say? Thanks a lot for clarification.
Hi there, any news? Thanks and enjoy your Sunday.
