I'm experiencing an intermittent issue with Firefox and I'm trying to figure out what might be causing it.

Occasionally, Firefox stops loading pages in new tabs. If I open a new tab and try to navigate to any website, it won't load, it'll state "waiting for www.[anywebsite].com" forever. However, if I use a tab that was already open before the issue started, I can still navigate to different websites from that tab without any problems.

The only reliable fix I've found is to completely close Firefox and start it again.

One strange thing I've noticed is that, sometimes while this issue is happening, if I put my laptop to sleep and then wake it up again, Firefox starts working normally, including in new tabs, without needing to restart the browser. But this isn't a something that works everytime.

I've already gone through the troubleshooting steps in the Mozilla Support article "Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can", but none of the suggested solutions resolved the issue.

I also tried disabling all my extensions, one by one, but the problem still occurs.

Has anyone seen this behavior before or knows what could cause it?

Firefox version: 152.0.2 (64-bit) (currently shows an available update requiring a restart, but it never seems to update even when enforced restarting) Operating system: Windows 1p Pro Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363

I find that my desktop browser firefox is very slow or doesn't work at all on a lot of websites like amazon or fortnine.

My internet connection and computer are not the issue: 270Mbps (wired connection) Processor AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 8-Core Processor (4.70 GHz) Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.1 GB usable) Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER (16 GB) Storage 3.58 TB of 10.92 TB used System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor (Windows 11)

My old PC and my mobile phone runs these website fine.

Sometimes the website will work for a moment, but stop and just load for ever after I open a new tab or clink a link. My task manager doesn't show any ethernet usage despite the tabs indicating they are trying to load. Refreshing the tabs does nothing and no matter how long I leave them they don't load. All my drivers, OS and programs are up to date. I have disabled my enhanced tracking protection and I don't have any adblockers. I have tried using the CMD "ipconfig -renew" and using ccleaner to clear out my cookies and cache but, nothing seems to have any lasting effect.

I am losing my mind trying to fix this. Why can I not browse the internet on my PC?

Any help on this would be amazing and much appreciated.

I’m looking for help with a Windows taskbar issue. My taskbar refuses to auto-hide when I have a video in full-screen and a Picture-in-Picture video running simultaneously. It works fine with just one video, but the PiP window keeps the taskbar active.

Does anyone know if there is a setting or workaround to fix this behavior?

I have allowed instagram, but ever since Firefox updated a few days ago, all of my "notification" on Instagram are blocked. This is the first time this has ever happened in over 3 years of instagram use on my PC via Firefox.

Once comments are added to a .pdf in Firefox, how can the comments be saved? The highlights show up in downloaded.pdf but when opened again in Firefox, the comments are gone. I want tosave the edited [with comments] document..how can I do that?

Hi there. The past few weeks whenever I try to view any YouTube embed on any website I just get this error and the video does not play: Sign in to confirm that you're not a bot

Of course I am signed in but it does nothing. It works in other web browsers, just not Firefox. I've tried resetting my cache and cookies, private windows, and disabling all extensions but nothing seems to work.

I don't know who was the absolute [edited] to have the idea of forcing updates while the user is still working on the browser by shutting the browser down. Can someone else help me understand how to stop this nonsense??

And yes, I had the option "Check for updates but let you choose to install them" selected, and I'm still being molested by this forced restart """feature"""!

Every time I'm in the middle of an important work session, Firefox will suddenly refuse to open new tabs and prevent the ones that are already open from connecting and receiving updates. It erase private tabs and messes up everything!

I was in a call with my boss, and it got dropped because Firefox decided to update?? And DEMANDED that I close the browser IMMEDIATELY to continue using it????? What the hell???????????

I've only been running into this problem in the past few months, and I'm honestly shocked by how little uproar I'm seeing online about this bug. This is by far the worst think I've ever seen in a browser.

Anyway, I appreciate any help. I saw a trick to permanently disable updates, but I don't want to disable them. I just want them to be installed either when I CHOOSE or when the bloody browser is NOT in use!

Logging into an account, when I start typing my email address several other suggestions are provided, many are outdated. Made a typo once and it is still saved somewhere. I want to make the old and erroneous ones to go away.

New (to me) issue, was not happening prior to system and browser updates. Using MacOS Tahoe 26.5.1 with Firefox Version 152.0.2 (64-bit), when I attempt to use keyboard shortcuts to copy paste into print dialogue (when I use Destination 'Save to pdf' and want to paste a file name I have copied), I get an error noise and no copy/paste happens. Using "right click" copy/paste is working properly (allows copy/paste of text into print dialog save to pdf name box). I have no custom keyboard settings for any apps and this issue is not occurring elsewhere in the browser (and is not occurring in other browsers). Have done the normal, updating OS and browser, used terminal to kill the clipboard and restart it, and restarted system and browser a couple of times. Would love to know if there is something I can do to fix this as I use this function frequently.

Several e-commerce sites have forms for payment card details, and some of them have a field for ‘Name on Card’. Some sites fill in this field with what they think is the name on the card and, in my experience, it is often wrong. If the user deletes the mistaken value autofill will insert the correct name where it was, but, if the aberrant entry is left in place, autofill will not change it, and the payment can be refused. Would it be an idea to have autofill insert the correct name even if the field already has a value? If the value written by the site is correct then nothing is changed, but if it is wrong a refusal could be forestalled.

share.mozilla.com doesn't work for me when I select "Share" and honestly I don't think anyone gives an airborne intercourse what I bookmark. I just want it and its annoying green "New" box out of the menu, but I can't find a place in Settings to turn it off. An about:config setting, if anyone's found one yet, would be appreciated as well.

I awoke to find that Mozilla VPN had crashed and left my computer undisguised for an unknown period of time. Running in Ubuntu Studio. I have used other brand VPN that would lock the network connection completely if VPN failed. Why does Mozilla VPN not have lockout, or if it does why did it not engage? Thanks for your time.

Mozilla Firefox 45.x and above (PC):

   Please ensure that your copy of Firefox is up to date.
   Click the Firefox drop-down menu or, if using the Menu Bar, continue to Step 2.
   Expand the Help menu and then select About Firefox within it.
   Firefox should now automatically check for updates and prompt you to restart it when finished.
   Once Firefox restarts, JavaScript should be enabled.

Every time I attempt to log into X.com the Firefox browser stops working entirely. Dead. Nothing. Won't open or function. Need to restart my computer to access and use Firefox. This does not happen when I use Chrome.
