Ok this latest UI appearance change is absolute dog feces. I hate it so much! It's so ugly! How do I change it back? I did not consent for my eyeballs to be assaulted like this. Did I mention it sucks? How do I change it back? 157.0.0.11

I spend the last hour or so in sheer panic and doubting my sanitiy as an email I was just reading disappeared from every mailbox I have here (I have 8 mailboxes in Thunderbird) . Also for whatever reason search is missing from the title bar.

The email was "archived" by Thunderbird inthe "Local Folders" I never use local folders as local folders is silly in 2026 imo. I have my own mailserver which is perfectly save and backuped and stuf I don't need yet another location were mail can hide.

Anyway that was a bit of a rant. This would not have happend if this sille ¨Local Folders" didn´t exist at all. But I seem unable to get rid of it.

How do I remove ¨Local Folders" from Thunderbird?

Firefox Home shows only 8 shortcuts and hides the Add button despite being set to 4 rows

Environment: - Windows - Firefox 157.0 (64-bit) - The same issue occurred in Firefox 156.0.1 before updating. - Built-in Firefox Home is selected for the homepage and new tabs.

Steps to reproduce in my current profile: 1. Enable Shortcuts in Firefox Home settings. 2. Set the number of shortcut rows to 4. 3. Add shortcuts using the "+" button. 4. Once 8 shortcuts have been added, the "+" button disappears. 5. Open another new tab or restart Firefox.

Actual result: Only one row containing 8 shortcuts is displayed. There is no "+" button to add a ninth shortcut, although the settings still show 4 rows.

Expected result: Firefox should allow additional shortcuts in the configured rows and keep an option to add more shortcuts until the available slots are filled.

Checks and troubleshooting: - Confirmed that browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.topSitesRows is set to 4. - The issue also occurred in Troubleshoot Mode. - Temporarily enabling sponsored shortcuts did not help. - Updating from Firefox 156.0.1 to 157.0 did not help. - Testing browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.nova.enabled set to false did not help.

Additional context: During earlier troubleshooting, browser.newtabpage.pinned was manually edited to add a ninth shortcut. After restarting Firefox, the previous shortcuts disappeared except for YouTube. I then rebuilt the shortcuts using the normal "+" button. The same problem returned as soon as I reached 8 shortcuts. The issue therefore existed before and after that manual edit.

I have not tested with a separate, fresh Firefox profile. I do not know which Firefox version first introduced the issue.

How do i revert the new graphical interface? I do not like the new rounded corners and the new themes that are shoved down our throat.

Why does mozilla like to do this to us ?

I had to find and download firefox 156. BUT Because 157 already installed itself in the bg, it also updated the user PROFILE which OFCOURSE it is not recognised by previous vers 156. Its corrupted by 157 and wont work with 156.

After 2 h of messing around with installs and profiles i COULDNT MAKE IT WORK. And now i have to watch this stupid UNPROFESIONAL GUI and i had to make an account on the forums to post this and try anbd find a way around and ofcourse i did because theres smarter ppl out there than those who work at mozilla. ( im reffering to the sollution with the browser.nova.disabled)

The new, awkwardly rounded tabs are just awful, and on top of that, you can’t change them anymore. Please bring back the old MINIMALISTIC and STRAIGHTFORWARD look of the tabs, I’m begging you. I used Firefox only because of its minimalist style. Why are they forcing this incomprehensible THING on me without the option to choose the visual style myself?(((

I am moving the host of my email domain to a different provider and I want to protect my historical emails. I have set up the emails as POP3 so I should have all the emails on my PC, but in the past when I transferred my business email to a new host I didn't back up the database. So, when I put the new email host settings into outlook, it over-wrote the database and all my historical emails were wiped, and it turned out that my back up and archive pst files were both corrupted so couldn't restore them ( I have since managed to retrieve everything but it was a long process I don't want to go through again if I can help it). So I'd like to know where the database is stored so I can duplicate it first. Any help would be appreciated.

I use Thunderbird expluicitly because it is open source application not bound to any specific services. I am very dissapointed to find connection to "thundermail" build into application and WANT IT PHYSICALLY REMOVE from it.

I kindly ask to help in removing it from my copies of Thunderbird. Thank you.

Hi, I'm using Thunderbird for Yahoo Emails since many years (it's great!).

In March/April 2026 I changed the Server Settings (authent. method) to OAuth2, it has worked properly.

But since 23.9.2026 I cannot receive Emails in Thunderbird any more (only for the Yahoo account, I have another Email Account working properly in Thunderbird). Bottom text is "Message 1 of 33 will be downloaded", but nothing is downloaded after severals minutes.

My Yahoo Account in the Firefox Browser works properly, its ONLY Thunderbird (and probably OAuth2?). I have removed my Oauth2 Password in saved password of Thunderbird and generated a new one, but that does not help.

So if this issue cannot be solved, I will use another Email Program instead of Thunderbird!

I have set up rules to move messages from the inbox to saved folders. There are some messages which remained in the Inbox and I have read but not moved to saved folders. There are other read messages which remain in the Inbox. The count of messages in the Inbox (and all folders as well) does not match the number of messages displayed. I am attaching a screenshot showing there are 2 messages displayed in my Inbox, but showing a count of 7 messages. I know there is at least one of the "missing" messages which I need to move manually to another folder, but how do I see those "missing" messages?

We are managing Firefox settings using Intune and successfully imported the Mozilla/Firefox ADMX files. A few settings are working as expected on a test device, though we're encountering issues with the Extension Management policy.

We followed this documentation to set up the extension management json: https://firefox-admin-docs.mozilla.org/reference/policies/extensionsettings/. I can see the policy is loaded into Firefox, though I am unable to add uBlock Origin, which should be allowed. All extensions are blocked, and the custom error message does not appear either, but instead "Download failed. Please check your connection."

I've tried a few variations with mixed success, but I haven't been able to get "allowed" extensions to work. Force installed extensions seem to work just fine.

Here's a minimal policies.json that demonstrates the issue:

We are evaluating Mozilla Firefox/Firefox ESR as a temporary workaround for an enterprise application that currently depends on XSLT. Our application is expected to be upgraded by the end of February 2027, after which the XSLT dependency will no longer be required. We understand that Mozilla is investigating the deprecation/removal of XSLT from Firefox, but we have not found a confirmed removal date.

Could you please confirm: Is there a planned Firefox or Firefox ESR release in which XSLT will be disabled or removed? Can you confirm whether XSLT is expected to remain supported through February 2027? If removal is planned, which Firefox/ESR version is expected to remove it? Does Firefox ESR provide any additional guarantee or extended support for XSLT? Is there an official Mozilla roadmap or documentation that we can reference for our enterprise planning?

This information is important because we have approximately 5,000 users who may be affected, and we need to determine whether Firefox can safely be used as a temporary workaround until our application upgrade.
